Postdocs and graduate students interested in exploring or pursuing academic career paths will find programs offered by the Graduate School through Future Faculty and Academic Careers and the Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement to be helpful:

Current Cornell Graduate School students and recent alumni preparing application materials for tenure-track academic positions may schedule individual consultations with the Graduate School Office of Career and Professional Development. Current postdocs should contact the Director of Postdoctoral Affairs at postdocs@cornell.edu to make an appointment. We encourage attending one or more of the programs above prior to scheduling an individual consultation.

All graduate students and postdocs can access online webinars offered through NCFDD. Individual NCFDD memberships are available for free to all Cornell community members as a benefit of Cornell’s Institutional membership. CIRTL is a North American future faculty preparation effort with branches at more than 40 universities, including Cornell University. Participate in webinars, courses, and institutes on diversity in the college classroom, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), the academic job search, and many additional topics in the areas of teaching and research mentoring. Available to all Cornell graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and staff, plus Graduate School alumni and recent Cornell postdocs.
