About

Welcome to Cornell!

Welcome postdocs and postdoc families!

The Office of Postdoctoral Studies hopes you enjoy your stay here and that you visit our office.  We are here to help you navigate Cornell, address potential challenges, and make your stay more pleasant.

The goal of the Office of Postdoctoral Studies is to monitor the status and needs of the postdoctoral campus community and serve as an advocate for postdoctoral issues to the Vice Provost for Research and Cornell’s administration. The Office supports a Postdoc Advisory Committee which raises visibility for postdocs on campus.

On this website, you will find information about Cornell-offered programs and services, along with general information about the Cornell campus and greater Ithaca community. We maintain an online “Postdoc Handbook” outlining benefits and resources available to the postdoc community. Other services to postdocs include career services, which are similar to those provided for graduate students, specialized orientation sessions, professional development workshops, and social activities.

We may be reached at (607) 255-5823postdocs@cornell.edu, or by personal appointment.

No matter how long or short your stay at Cornell, we wish you the best and encourage you to use our services. We look forward to working with you.

The office of Postdoctoral Studies is located in the Graduate School and is part of the Office of Career and Professional Development:  Career and Professional Development : Graduate School (cornell.edu)
